The Great Comet of 2007
2007.01.30. This shot is a 12 minute exposure on the Astrograph when it reided at Stonehenge Aotearoa. 50mm lens @f/2.8 on Fuji P800. Ian Cooper has also picked up an auroral glow beneath the comet. A very faint ion (gas) tail can be seen above the synchrone/syndine dust tail. The Small Magellanic Cloud is upper right.
